The Netherlands
April 2017
Purely by coincidence, I found myself in Amsterdam on “King’s Day” - the Dutch national holiday celebrating the king’s birthday. There are two requirements. You must wear something orange and you must party. Fortunately, orange t-shirts are readily available and every inch of the city is a party - including the canals. And then off to Keukenhof, where you’ll find far more blooms than you can count.
