“So I was riding down Unter den Linden on an electric scooter with my son….” is not a sentence I would have expected to say but it happened - and then we got together with some distant relatives - the Jähnerts (whose names were not changed at Ellis Island) - and, after Vilnius, ended the trip in England and Paris.
